Ambassador Training with Presley Swagerty

Notes from Tuesday Night Training Call with Presley Swaggerty, author of "Millionaire by Halftime"
(thank you Susan Morris for doing the hard part!!)

"You don't CHASE success ... you need to ATTRACT success!"
"If you WANT more ... you've got to BECOME more!"

"Three Keys to Success in Network Marketing"

ONE...
Get back in the DREAM BUSINESS!!  Get excited about life again!  Life beats on us and we give up on our dreams.  If you don't get up on Monday morning with EXCITEMENT, then you don't have enough goals.  Set your goals!

Tonight's HOMEWORK ... write down these goals: (90% of Americans do NOT have written goals!!!)
--1. financial goals, keep them visible all the time
--2. health goals
--3. personal growth goals
--4. relationship goalsBe specific and set a date for each goal

(Text the word "Rules" to 88202 ... and receive Presely's "7 rules for goal setting"!)

TWO...
GROW as a person (4 steps to personal growth)  "If we WANT more, we have to BECOME more!"

  • Read ten pages per day of a personal growth book each day(10 pages per day is 15-18 good books in a year! Need help picking a book?  Find Sara Marbles' suggested book list video on YouTube)

  • Instead of listening to music (or depressing news) in the car, listen to audio books/CDs

  • Instead of watching TV (income reducer) watch videos - John Maxwell, Joyce Meyers, Zig Ziglar, etc.

  • "Show me who you run with and I'll show you who you are or who you're gonna be." Surround yourself with positive motivated people. That will rub off on you. We all have greatness inside us that will run with the people who are running to success!   Likewise, if we run with negative, go nowhere people, it will be next to impossible for us to be positive or succeed.

HOMEWORK:
Write the 5-10 people you spend most of your time with.  Then ask yourself these questions ...

  • Is this someone I should STOP associating with?
  • Is this someone I should LIMIT my association with?
  • Is this someone I should EXPAND my association with?

THREE ...
WORK!!!  You've got a chance to do great and mighty things, to develop an incredible income, and to achieve beyond your dreams.  You can change people's lives, both health and financially.  But it won't just happen without effort.  Its going to require working your butt off.  Presley said that for 24-36 months, EVERY spare moment was focused on building his business.

And as a result, the last seven years he has done what he wants to do, when he wants to do it, with whom he wants to do it!! WORK!  Set the appointments!! Show the plan!! It's not going to be easy, but it WILL be worth it!!

Running into adversity. Some times things are going awesome. Some times it will suck.
"AVERAGE PERSON" works when they feel like it.
"WINNERS" work when they feel like it ... AND when they DON'T feel like it!!

Dream big. Work hard. Let the rest happen .Next book: Be, Do, and Have More

Getting Started~ Conference Call Notes

Getting Started Checklist (Heidi Speer Conference Call notes)
ALRIGHT...NOW....FOR THE GOOD STUFF!! WHY IS THIS IMPORTANT??!!

I’m super excited about this because whether you’re new and wanting to rock your network marketing business from the get go or whether you’re ready to re-engage and “re-start”; or if you’re a leader wanting to perfect a powerful and successful process to encourage duplication on your team–you’re in the right place. I’ve spent the past few weeks studying what leaders of the fastest growing teams in Plexus are doing and I’m excited to share with you a few streamlined tips to help you refine our "succesful start system."When we streamline our system, and keep things simple–duplication happens. And duplication is where the magic happens. It leads to momentum. Are you ready to rock your Plexus biz? AWESOME!! Below are just a few tips to be sure you hit on when you’re getting your newbie off to a rockin start. As I always say, I can’t take credit for people’s overall success (or lack thereof), but I am responsible to help them get off to a really great start! Here’s what that looks like:

I’m going to break this into 3 main trainings (You’ll obviously train on more, and meet more)–and 3 main points for each training to keep this simple and get you on track. Get ready to ROCK your Successful Start:

TRAINING #1 (At enrollment)

□ Complete the enrollment together–good leadership starts at the enrollment appointment. Schedule a time to walk your newbie through it to make suggestions on the best way to get started (which includes suggestions on the best welcome packs, and enrolling in your monthly autoship!) This makes things WAAAAYYY easier to explain. If you are new then get someone in your upline to do this with you. Next best thing...voice clips walking them through the process as theyre signing up.

□ Do a back office walkthrough with them–introduce them to their website and how to login to the backoffice. You dont have to show them everything right now but at least show them how to get their. (youll send them videos later)

□ Within the first 24 hours:
- ADD THEM TO Sara’s Plexus Team Momentum and Plexus Slim Team Page

- Tag them to Momentum welcome page PINNED POST

- Make sure they are registered for the Pink Power Team training emails AND got the confirmation email!
Link is in the pinned post. (exclusive to heidi’s team) We have www.plexusteammomentum.com

□ Have them announce their awesome Plexus journey and decision to join the team to facebook! Give them some ideas on what to post based on if they'd already tried the products or not. Here's an example for someone who just jumped all in as an ambassador before trying the products.

"OK guys... Here it goes!!! After much research and seeing testimony after testimony of people's lives changing, I've decided to start my own Plexus journey!! I'm so so sooooo excited and can't wait to get started!! Bring on the pink drink!!!! LETS DO THIS!! #Plexus #PlexusSlim #health #wellness #determined #gamechanger "

□ Now, as their upline go post on your fb wall and tag them in a post that says something like:

"Please help me congratulate and welcome Heidi Speer (tag them) on her awesome decision to start her Plexus journey and join the Plexus family!! Sooooo excited for you Heidi! I cant wait to see you share the Plexus love in Arkansas! You are going to help change so many lives!"

These two posts do a few things. One...its a great welcome to the team and gets them excited. Two it lets people see what the new ambassador has started and gets them curious and hopefully asking questions. And Three, it shows others that your own personal team is growing and that you are successful as well.

□ When ppl start commenting on the newbies post or asking questions like "what is Plexus", tell your newbie to put you and them in a group convo on facebook so you can help your newbie answer questions and take some of the pressure off them. Or even better get some 3 way calls scheduled ASAP! Youll help them get their first customers and theyll learn a lot just from listening!

TRAINING #2 (In the first 48 hours):

□ Find out their WHY/ GOALS

THIS IS SOOOOO IMPORTANT!!!!

-Ask them WHY they are starting Plexus. This will let you know how to create a plan and how much time you will need to devote to helping/checking in on them.

□ Show them the Plexus staircase graphic with each achievement level. Let them see the potential. Show them this chart, and ask them which level of income they would like to achieve as shown on the chart.

□ Teach them how to go Silver!!!They need to “get 3 and duplicate”—“Let’s get your 3 partners fast and help them start strong, so your income is strong and stable!”

□ Teach them how to get to the larger incomes/incentives.

□ Help them start their contacts list! MEMORY JOGGER in files tab and your success guide. Create a list of AT LEAST 100 ppl.

□ Teach them to “excite and invite”–Get them into action with “EXCITING and INVITING” and teaching them 2 approaches to reach out (see below). Review their contact list with them. Tell them to put their most successful people at the top. You can get to all of them—but you want to reach out to the most motivated, respected, connected, confident, successful people first=>Ask about their top 3: Who they are? Why did you choose them? Validate why they would be great and share any stories of people in similar professions or backgrounds doing well in the company so it excites them, and also their prospect. Then, teach them how to “excite and invite” (keep it simple and short, no verbal vomit, say very little, just “excite them and invite them” on calls with you immediately!) Remember: it’s not what you say, it’s the excitement in which you say it! Work with them closely on connecting with their top 20. Continue to work through their list with the same process.

SUGGESTION SHARED FROM SOME OF MY TOP LEADERS: If your newbie is local, schedule a time block to make these calls with them—if not, you can always 3 way in with them for support. One of my top leaders, does a “call center” where she meets with her entire team weekly and helps them to reach out to people on their list and set up 3 way calls with her. This motivates them and elevates their belief –and increase their accountability just by having her there. You will want to give your team two different options on how to reach out to people, which leads to 3 way calls/ group convos: The Direct Approach and the Sample Pack Approach==>

DIRECT APPROACH

This is a great approach for people they are comfortable calling and want to have on their team right away, before their first launch event! They might say:

“Hey Deb. It’s Sarah. I’m so excited to share some great news with you. Do you have just a minute? Great! I wanted to share that I started a brand new business and I know you’re business minded and would appreciate my new opportunity. You are the first person I wanted to share this with before I launch this to my network, as I think you’d like to be a part of it (tell them genuinely why you think they’d be great) I want to share more with you but I’m new and don’t want to mess this up. I’d like to have my girlfriend share more and it only takes a couple of minutes. Can I call her real quick (or can I have her pop on the line real quick)?” Three way call the sponsor in. If not: “When works for you tomorrow?” Schedule them on a 3 way call with your upline or sponsor immediately.

*IDEA: leverage individuality and exclusivity in your approach: Tell success stories of others they’d relate to. Tell them they were the first one you thought of & why.

SAMPLE PACK APPROACH (great for people with a product based company–this idea is from one of my Rock Stars, Cindy!)

Create a sample pack with some of your favorite products. You’ll share them with people you know, and people you meet when out, and say:

“I wanted to share my products with you that I am in love with! I know you’ll love them too” (share more about what they are, and what they do, and the immediate benefits they’ll receive by using them.) “There’s instructions on how to use them. I’m going to share this with you but you have to promise me you’ll try it! Today is Sunday. I will call you on Tuesday to see how you love them. What time works best for you?” –Schedule the apt, and follow up and say:

“How did you love the products? Before you order I want to share with you why I’m doing this” (share your why- why you’re excited about the opportunity) “I want to have my friend share more with you because I’m new and I don’t want to mess up. (edify upline and share their story) Do you have a quick minute for me to loop her in?” Or “when is a good time tomorrow?” Set up 3 way call for the upline to share their story and the company story and show the prospect how easy it is to do our business!

Pass out as many sample packs as possible and always follow up in 48 hours. Schedule calls asap to reveal the opportunity behind the products. If they aren’t interested in learning more about the opportunity, sign them up as a preferred customer. This approach is so disarming as people will fall in love with the products, they are warm to listen, and of course eliminates the objection of having to try the product first—and at the very least, you’ll usually end up with a customer, who you can later follow up with and say “since you’re loving the products, you really should consider joining me in business now to save even more, and to make $ if you refer them on to others!”

3 way calls are a great way to leverage the sponsors knowledge and the newbies excitement! They listen, and earn as they learn! It’s highly duplicable!

□ Give them homework and daily/weekly activity goals. This is where that Pink Power Team training email is going to come in handy! BIG TIME!! For example... teach your newbies the mantra “5 contacts per day keeps leads coming my way!” Have them reach out to 5 per day via sample pack approach and through working through their contact list WITH THEM. Stay in touch daily with a quick call or text asking them who’ve they’ve reached out to and the experience they are having. Share best practices along the way, and encourage them!

TRAINING #3- WHEN THEIR STARTER KIT ARRIVES (OR DURING THAT FIRST WEEK)

□ POST AN AWESOME PHOTO OF THAT WELCOME PACK!!! EEEKKSS!!!

□ Schedule their home launch events to increase their exposure for the products and opportunity, and showcase them to a lot of people at once. I like to schedule one within their first 3 weeks. If they are local, you go to present the first—co-present the second—they present at the third (“I do, We do, You Do–I do the first, we do the second together, you do the third”). If long distance, you may want to be present by video technology (Skype or Facetime), or via speakerphone. Focus on the art of inviting: WHO to invite, HOW to excite and INVITE, and how to follow up PRE EVENT (fb event is NOT going to work!

LETS TAKE A SECOND TO TALK ABOUT THIS BECAUSE THIS IS WAYYYYY IMPORTANT FOR ALL OF US FOR ANY EVENT!!! (CHECK THE FILES TAB FOR INFO ON HOW TO GET PPL TO YOUR EVENTS!!)

Alrighty...back to business. A few days before the launch review how the event will flow and how to set up. Encourage them to have new partners on board to launch together. They invite friends, and friends invite their friends! Launch events are a great way to share this with their audience fast, and increase their exposure. To get in front of more people, ask friends to host one for you:

“I’m expanding my business in your area, and would love to reach more people. Would you be willing to host an event for me, in exchange for free product?”

We aren’t a party plan company, but it’s a great way to grow fast, and get in front of a lot of people at once to generate sales and find new partners!

WHAT TO DO NEXT?

□ Keep them plugged into team meetings and calls and emails. Stay plugged into this system. Stay in touch on progress. Celebrate their successes along the way! Encourage them to continue to make 5 contacts (via their list, or the sample pack approach) daily. And work their list with them, and help them to increase their exposure! The speed of the leader is the speed of the team! Then–YOU START AGAIN, with someone new

I want you to know I WILL NEVER PUSH or PRESSURE you to do this business I am here to help and all you have to do is contact me either by phone or message! You also are encouraged to contact your direct upline so that you may get a response a little faster, but if you can not reach them, please never hesitate to message me!! If you tell me you want and need my help, THATS IT! WE’LL GO TO THE TOP together! The sky is the limit and THIS IS THE RIGHT TIME RIGHT PLACE OPPORTUNITY. I believe that with everything I have!

5 Steps to Success- Goal to get to SILVER within 30 days
  1. Write a list of 100 people within your first 48 hours (use Eric Worre’s Memory Jogger in my team page to help) continue adding new people monthly. Reaching out to people that you know in your network will be how you start your business.
  2. Write a list of your top 5 from that 100 that you feel can benefit from our products, send your direct upline that list, and the reason why you feel they could benefit. Get those 5 people into a 3-way FB message or phone call with your direct upline within the first 48 hours.
  3. Write a list of your top 5 from that list of 100 that you feel could benefit from the business opportunity or that you most want on your team. Get them each into a 3-way FB message or phone call with your direct upline within the first 48 hours.
  4. Continue these steps weekly with a top 5 for health and top 5 for business, and getting them into 3-ways or phone calls with your direct upline. Work your way through your list of 100, but continue to add people to it.5.
  5.  Make an “Announcement” post on your FB page announcing your new health and business journey with Plexus within your first 24 hours.
Example-
Big Announcement!! I am very excited to get an early start to my 2015 New Year’s Resolution to get healthy and in shape and build a business through Plexus Worldwide!! I’ve done the research and everything I’ve found has left me saying, WOW! These products ROCK! I’m looking forward to an amazing journey. If you’d love to hear more about what I’m doing please message me and I can’t wait to start sharing!

Also you could take a fun picture of you when your welcome pack arrives and use a fun app like Rhonna to put a caption…something like “mama has a brand new business!” Social media can be a great resource to launch your business!

75 Inspiring Motivational Quotes on Leadership

75 Inspiring Motivational Quotes on Leadership

Sometimes all the inspiration you need to guide your team successfully can be found in a few simple words of wisdom.
by: Jeff Haden (Inc.com)
Leadership is lonely. No matter how big your team, sometimes it's just you--which means you sometimes need to look inside yourself for motivation and inspiration.
Or you can find personal inspiration from someone who has been there, done that...and done it well.
Here are some of my favorite leadership quotes. Tweet them, share them, but most important, use them to help you become an even better leader than you already are.
  1. "To handle yourself, use your head; to handle others, use your heart." Eleanor Roosevelt
  2. "The mediocre teacher tells. The good teacher explains. The superior teacher demonstrates. The great teacher inspires." William Arthur Ward
  3. "It's hard to lead a cavalry charge if you think you look funny on a horse." Adlai E. Stevenson II
  4. "Our chief want is someone who will inspire us to be what we know we could be." Ralph Waldo Emerson
  5. "Keep your fears to yourself, but share your courage with others." Robert Louis Stevenson
  6. "The greatest leader is not necessarily the one who does the greatest things. He is the one that gets the people to do the greatest things." Ronald Reagan
  7. "Only one man in a thousand is a leader of men--the other 999 follow women." Groucho Marx
  8. "Don't waste your energy trying to educate or change opinions; go over, under, through, and opinions will change organically when you're the boss. Or they won't. Who cares? Do your thing, and don't care if they like it." Tina Fey
  9. "Power isn't control at all--power is strength, and giving that strength to others. A leader isn't someone who forces others to make him stronger; a leader is someone willing to give his strength to others that they may have the strength to stand on their own." Beth Revis
  10. "Don't tell people how to do things, tell them what to do and let them surprise you with their results." George Patton
  11. "I have three precious things which I hold fast and prize. The first is gentleness; the second is frugality; the third is humility, which keeps me from putting myself before others. Be gentle and you can be bold; be frugal and you can be liberal; avoid putting yourself before others and you can become a leader among men." Lao Tzu
  12. "Leadership is the art of getting someone else to do something you want done because he wants to do it." Dwight D. Eisenhower
  13. "Victory has a hundred fathers and defeat is an orphan. John F. Kennedy
  14. "Management is doing things right; leadership is doing the right things." Peter F. Drucker
  15. "You are not here merely to make a living. You are here in order to enable the world to live more amply, with greater vision, with a finer spirit of hope and achievement. You are here to enrich the world, and you impoverish yourself if you forget the errand." Woodrow Wilson
  16. "Example is not the main thing in influencing others. It is the only thing." Albert Schweitzer
  17. "Leaders must be close enough to relate to others, but far enough ahead to motivate them." John C. Maxwell
  18. "The mark of a great man is one who knows when to set aside the important things in order to accomplish the vital ones." Brandon Sanderson

  22. "Being responsible sometimes means pissing people off." Colin Powell
  23. "Do you know that one of the great problems of our age is that we are governed by people who care more about feelings than they do about thoughts and ideas?" Margaret Thatcher
  24. "A leader is a dealer in hope." Napoleon

  30. "Consensus: The process of abandoning all beliefs, principles, values, and policies in search of something in which no one believes, but to which no one objects; the process of avoiding the very issues that have to be solved, merely because you cannot get agreement on the way ahead. What great cause would have been fought and won under the banner: 'I stand for consensus?'" Margaret Thatcher
  31. "A leader takes people where they want to go. A great leader takes people where they don't necessarily want to go, but ought to be." Rosalynn Carter
